Hello. My name is Julie Morrell, M.F.C.C.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Counselor in San Diego and have over 20 years of experience. I have helped people with a wide variety of psychological and relationship problems. I am certified in EMDR. EMDR is a style of therapy that is extremely helpful with many issues, but particularly for those who have suffered trauma. Below are some examples of issues people write me about, or come in for counseling for. Please be aware that the issues below are best addressed with in person counseling:

1) relationship/intimacy issues
2) marriage/divorce mediation
3) sexual abuse issues
4) singles wanting a mate
5) depression/grief therapy
6) shyness/anxiety issues

I am known to be inspiring, caring and understanding and have good instincts when it comes to helping others. I am happily married and have 2 children. I have often thought that e-mail consulting might be a good way for clients to share with me their thoughts and concerns. For clients who have busy schedules, it is a quick way to access help.

For email replies my fees are $1.00 a minute I spend on the reply, it usually turns out to be around $15.00 to $30.00 per email reply, and $36.00 for 30 minutes of live chat or phone consult and $60.00 for each 50 minute consult.

Providing short-term treatment for adult and child patients. Specialties include relationship/ intimacy issues, marital mediation, depression, sexual abuse issues, anxiety management, communication skill training, parenting issues as well as treatment for the alcoholic family.

Clairemont Emmanuel Counseling Center, San Diego, CA
Primary responsibilities were to supervise counseling center's mental health staff and office personal, set policies and procedures, coordinate workshops and trainings for presentations, oversee fiscal responsibility for counseling center and be a liaison between counseling center staff and senior pastoral staff. Meet with community leaders to meet the mental health needs of community. Supervise senior staff members clinically and administratively. In addition, provided short-term psychotherapy for couples, individuals and families for adults and children.
